Carol Chellino NOW ON display

My art is influenced by my observations and interpretations of the places where I live, work and play. My recent oil and encaustic paintings are based on activities around the urban parks of Sandpoint and Magnuson Beach in Seattle. This area that was once a Naval Air Station has now been converted to a large urban park where the land and old buildings are being used for community recreation and cultural activities. The patterns of architectural structures in combination with the natural landscape of the area gave me the concepts and references for this series of works.
